ABUJA – By Paul Efiong Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted bail to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
The bail which is to enable Kanu attend to his health however, comes with stringent conditions.
According to Justice Nyako, the IPOB leader is expected to produce three sureties with landed properties and with N100 million each.
Also, the Judge said Kanu must not grant any interview, attend rallies or be seen in a gathering of more than 10 persons.
Kanu, who is being tried for treason has been in detention since October 2015 without bail.
The court session was attended by the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
