The Court of Appeal sitting in Markudi, Benue state on Saturday nullified the election of a former Senate President, Senator David Mark.
Mark, three-term senate president is representing Benue South Senatorial District in the senate.
The Court consequently ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct a re-run election.
Prompt News recalls that Mark’s opponent and the All Progressives Congress candidate, Daniel Onjeh, had filed an appeal against the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal which earlier affirmed Mark’s election.
However, Mark has expressed confidence that he would win again.
