Former Anambra state governor Peter Obi has been named vice presidential candidate to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate.
Senator Ben Bruce, confirmed the selection on his twitter handle @benmurraybruce.
He described Atiku/Obi 2019 ticket as a “solid team”.
“Congrats my friend and brother, Mr. Peter Obi on your selection as vice presidential candidate to H.E @atiku. Without doubt, this is a solid team that will lift Nigeria to her rightly place amongst the assembly of nations. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain,” Ben Bruce tweeted.
Prompt News Online recalls that Atiku on Thursday visited his former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta during which the latter congratulated the former describing him as “President-to-be”.
