BREAKING: 2019, Senate Approves N234.5bn For INEC 

The Senate has approved the sum of N234.51 billion for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to execute the 2019 general elections.

Prompt News Online recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2018, sent a supplementary budget to the National Assembly for approval.

However, the passage has been delayed because the lawmakers had been on recess.

The amount approved is however, N7.9 billion less than the amount the President requested for.
