By Gracious Akujobi The Super Eagles have moved a step closer to 2014 World Cup Brazil holding in Brazil by beating the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia 2-1.
The Ethiopians opened the scoring in the 56th minute of the game after a goalless 1st half through Behailu Assefa.
Nigerians were however quick to respond in the 67th minute through a goal from Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike.
Eagles were later handed a penalty in the 90th minute of the game when Emenike was fouled in the box and he stepped up to convert the spot kick thereby Putting Nigeria on the right track to represent Africa at the World Cup.
The return leg match will be played November 16th in Calabar
