Victor Boniface has been nominated Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award for August.
Boniface has the caught the eye at Bayer Leverkusen following his arrival from Belgian Pro League outfit, Union St Gilloise this summer.
The Nigeria international bagged an assist on his debut for Xabi Alonso’s side against RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old then followed up with a brace in the next game against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Nigerian-born goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, who plays SC Freiburg is also nominated for the award.
Atubolu kept one clean sheet in three league outings for Freiburg in August.
RB Leipzig winger Xavi Simons is the other winger nominated for the award. READ ALSO:

According to the organisers, for a player to be qualified for the award, he must be younger than 23 on Matchday 1 of the new season, and he cannot have started a Bundesliga match in any previous campaign.
The winner of the award will be announced on September 7.
