A former Senate President, David Mark has been declared winner of the Benue South Senatorial election re-run held on Saturday, February 20.
According to the results announced by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, Mark, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered a total of 84, 192 to emerge winner.
His arch rival, Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 71, 621 votes.

Meanwhile, reports say there is wide jubilation across the senatorial district sequel to the declaration of Mark as winner of the re-run.
