BBNaija Season 9 pair Nelita, consisting of Nnenna Mbonu and Anita Ukah, has won the heads of house challenge for the second time in a row.
The pair were crowned the heads of house last week through a ballot system and emerged victorious following eight out of 12 votes from their fellow housemates.
This time, the title came with the added benefit of immunity from eviction. Their victory came after the organisers cancelled the custodian challenge during the Sunday double eviction show.
In previous weeks, winning the HOH challenge did not guarantee immunity. Instead, the winners had to compete in the custodian challenge to secure protection from eviction.
As the HOH for the week, Nelita selected Aces as their special guests.
Last week, Nelita chose Chekas as their guest, raising concerns among fans who expected them to choose Aces.
However, during the HOH challenge on Monday, 19th of August, 2024, the pair secured the top spot through a challenge, thereby beating the Mbadiwe twins and Chekas to the title.
The duo outperformed their fellow housemates by finishing the fastest with 1:52 seconds.
With their new position, Nelita will lead the house this week, making critical decisions and leading the house in executing its wager task.
They’re also responsible for the house’s orderliness and running throughout their tenure.
Nelita would also face the crucial task of navigating the complexities and tensions brewing among housemates.
