Bayer Leverkusen has provided a negative injury update on their Nigeria forward Victor Boniface.
Boniface sustained an injury in Nigeria’s training camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The striker is now expected to undergo surgery and will be sidelined until April.
“Victor Boniface suffered a muscle-tendon injury in the right adductor area during the Nigerian training camp in Dubai,” reads the statement. READ ALSO:

“The striker will undergo surgery in the coming days and is expected to be out of action until early April.”
The forward has been replaced in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by Terem Moffi.
