Calvin Bassey is reeling with disappointment after Fulham succumbed to a 1-0 loss against Manchester United at the Craven Cottage on Sunday night.
Prompt News reports that Centre-back Lisandro Martinez scored the winning goal for United late in the game.
Fulham dominated possession but failed to convert their chances.
Bassey claimed Marco Silva’s side deserved more from the game.
“I thought we deserved more. We controlled the game, and it wasn’t our day,” the Nigeria international told TNT Sports.
“You need a bit of luck in football, and it didn’t come our way today.
“They didn’t create too much to trouble us. We were aware of their quality.
“We had a lot of chances; maybe in the final part at the end could have been better.”
