In order to build a virile and stable nation for upcoming generation, all campus community radio broadcasters in Nigeria have been enjoined to always connect the town and gown as they educate and disseminate information.
A former Nigerian Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida who said this also advised Members of the Association of Nigerian Campus Broadcast Stations (ANCABS) to continue to raise the bar in the discharge of their duties as tutors and mentors of student journalists.
Babangida gave the advice on Thursday when the association led by the representative of its President, Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, paid a courtesy visit to him at his hill-top residence, in Minna, the Niger State capital.
He stressed that campus broadcast stations are entrenched cultural values and rich with educative content putting into consideration the environment in which they belong.
