Ondo State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Sunday led other State Executive Council members on a prayer session for quick recovery of the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who is reportedly ill.
Akeredolu who is now on medical leave, had transmitted power to his Deputy, Aiyedatiwa to act as Governor in a letter he communicated to the state’s House of Assembly last Tuesday.
Speaking through the lawmakers, the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon.Olamide Oladiji, explained that the Governor had embarked on a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad starting from 7th of June, 2023 to 6th July,2023
During the special prayer held at the Chapel of Grace Government House, Akure, Aiyedatiwa expressed optimism on the quick recovery of his boss.
He also implored citizens of the State to always dedicate and seek God’s guidance in all their activities.
The acting Governor added that it was important to commit “our dear State into God’s hand as prayers unlock God’s unlimited favour”
Present at the prayer service are, Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele and his wife, Ondo State Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC, Egnr Ade Adetimehin, State Executive Council members and others.
