President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick says the decision on the resumption of football activities in the country will be taken after due consultations with the government and all other relevant bodies.The NFF suspended football activities in the country in March following the spread of coronavirus.The government has, however, announced plans to ease restrictions in the three states (Lagos , Ogun and Abuja) from May 4 and Pinnick has revealed the federation is in discussion with the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to determine when football activities will resume.”It has been a difficult few months…

The Federal Government on Thursday directed officers on Grade Level 14 and above as well as those on essential services to resume work with effect from Monday, May 4. The Operatives of 81 Division of the Nigerian Army on Thursday paraded 13 suspects who were arrested for impersonating military officers and perpetrated criminal activities during the ongoing lockdown in Lagos. Hans Kluge, the World Health Organisation (WHO) regional director for Europe, on Thursday called on governments and health authorities to prevent the impact of COVID-19 from being amplified by neglecting other vital health protection measures. The Spanish government has given the green light for professional athletes to be tested for coronavirus by their clubs from May 4, which may pave the way for the eventual return of La Liga.
