The Lagos State Government has unfolded various agricultural projects to shore up food security status and ensure sustainability. The state Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Gbolahan Lawal, made the disclosure on Thursday while rendering accounts of activities undertaken by the ministry in the last one year. The police in Kwara have confirmed the killing of a boy in an attack on Erubu community in Ilorin South Local Government Area of the state by suspected cultists. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, saying the attack took place on Tuesday. Jumia says it has partnered with International Breweries and Unilever to make consumer goods and beverages accessible to Nigerians on its online platform during the COVID-19 era. Former Nigeria’s President Olusegun Obasanjo has written a letter to African leaders, asking them to rally round the President of African Development Bank, AfDB, Nigeria’s Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, as the United States government moves to run down the bank under his watch. The Cross River Government has demolished four buildings in Calabar South owned by suspected kidnappers who have been declared wanted by the state government. Three of the buildings that were destroyed at the quarters of the Cross River University of Technology, Calabar, were owned by one of the suspected kidnappers, Kufre Ekpo-Etim, popularly called “Romance”. The Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) will soon be detached from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) so that it can become a full-fledged Department. The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, disclosed this in a memo he personally signed, and sighted by PRNigeria.
