The Edo State Government has unveiled the refurbished Auchi General Hospital and renamed it the Edo State University Teaching Hospital as it begins three-day free healthcare services to the people in the locality. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), for clogging the wheel of progress in the prosecution of his petition. The World Bank has released 150 million U.S. dollars to help the Ghanaian government fulfill its poverty alleviation obligations, a release from the bank’s Ghana office said. The new funding will help the West African country, which is undergoing fiscal distress, meet its pro-poor commitments under a three-year International Monetary Fund program for social spending. The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, (APC) on Wednesday in Abuja, opposed the appearance of subpoenaed witnesses of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) to testify. The traditional ruler of Aghara, Chief David Obadofin, in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, has died in the custody of his abductors.
