The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal office, has arrested a staff of Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta in Ogun, and 47 others for alleged involvement in internet fraud. Kenya has presented its 3.68 trillion shilling (25.8 billion U.S. dollars) budget for the 2023/24 financial year, which aims at the country’s economic turnaround. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) says it has strengthened its support towards the private sector to enable it to take advantage of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The UN Children’s Fund on Friday urged the Nigerian Government to triple its current investment in sanitation and hygiene to enable it meet the Open Defecation Free (ODF) target by 2025. The National Population Commission (NPC), says it trained 850,000 supervisors and 62,000 facilitators in preparation for the postponed 2023 Population and Housing Census. The Director, Public Affairs Department, Dr Isiaka Yahaya, said this at a news conference in Abuja on Friday.
