The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested no fewer than 31,675 drug offenders including 35 barons in 29 months. The Chairman, NDLEA, retired, Brig. Gen. The National Industrial Court on Monday declared that the order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress ( NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from embarking on their planned industrial action subsists. Justice Olufunke Anuwe stated that the order as granted on June 5 subsists pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice. The court in addition ordered that parties maintain status quo and adjourned the matter until July 20, for hearing. The management of Arik Air Limited (in receivership) has dismissed allegations of misappropriation of funds to the tune of N120 billion. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had reportedly detained the Receiver Manager appointed by the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria for Arik Air, Mr Kamilu Omokide, over alleged misappropriation and diversion of about N120bn. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has terminated the money laundering case filed against Ayo Oke (pictured), former director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) over the discovery of $43 million, £27,000 and N23 million in an Ikoyi flat.
