Operatives of Ondo State Police Command, on Tuesday, said one prophetess, Mrs Folashade Adekola, has been arrested over the death of a woman, Jumoke Adesuwa and her newborn baby inside the church. According to THE PUNCH, the deceased bled to death from complications after childbirth inside the suspect’s church located in the Oke-Aro area of Akure, the state capital. Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo shortly after inauguration on Tuesday, announced key positions to his new cabinet. He appointed Musa Ikhilor, a lawyer, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). and a former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Samson Osagie, as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday brought one Heart Obum, before an Ikeja Special Offences Court for alleged £31,200 fraud. Obum, whose residential address was not provided, was arraigned on a five-count charge bordering on forgery, obtaining by false pretences and stealing. No fewer than 13 persons have been killed in a collapsed mining site in Bassa Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau. Dr Joshua Riti, the Chairman of the LGA, confirmed this to newsmen on Monday in Jos. Riti, who expressed sadness over the number of deaths recorded, said that the incident occurred last Saturday.
