The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has berated the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for remaining silent more than 72 hours after the appointment of five Christians and two Muslims as service chiefs by a Muslim president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The naira depreciated further against the dollar on Thursday at the investors and exporters window, exchanging at N765.13. It depreciated by 0.26 per cent when compared with the N763.17 for which it exchanged for the dollar on Wednesday. Open indicative rate closed at N753.50 to the dollar on Thursday. The consortium BlueCo which purchased Chelsea last year has reached an agreement to become shareholders of French club Racing Strasbourg. Chelsea said on Thursday that the agreement would see BlueCo invest in Strasbourg’s first teams and academy. Plateau House of Assembly has approved the request by Gov. Caleb Mutfwang to acquire a loan of N15 billion to settle backlog of salary arrears of the state civil servants which amounted to N11 billion.
