The fight against insecurity in Nigeria received a huge boost Thursday as the first batch of the
much-awaited A-29 Super Tucano aircraft has arrived the country.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Director of Public Relations and Information confirmed the arrival of the fighter aircraft in a statement made available to Prompt News.
According to him the aircraft arrived NAF Base in Kano state on Thursday July 22, 2021 at about 12.34 pm.
The terse statement reads in part: “On hand to receive the aircraft were the Hon. Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao”.
