In apparent vote of confidence in his leadership style despite numerous allegations for which he was cleared after investigations, Nigeria’s Dr. Akinwumi Adesina has been re-elected as the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) for a second Five-year term.
Prompt News reports that Adesina was the sole candidate for the position before the election was held this Thursday.
Adesina who was Minister of Agriculture during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan faced several accusations from the West but was cleared by independent investigation panel.
The outspoken Economic Czar will be on the job till 2025.
