Ekiti State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that those who defected from the party to the All Progressive Congress (APC) will be disappointed in their new party.
PDP maintained that the defectors have never been any asset to the party rather, they have been bringing woes and tales of sorrow to the party for a very long time which have been responsible for the negative impressions about the party by some ignorant. In a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr Jackson Adebayo, APC was described as “a party peopled by deceptive and cunning leaders that pride itself in use and dump syndrome; a characteristic that will spell dooms for those who now defect to APC.”
“APC is peopled by leaders who pride themselves in deception and use and dump syndrome which those who are defecting now will reap at the end of the day,” he said.
Adebayo added that it will only take a rational mentality to detect the inner mindsets of an average APC leader when it comes to defectors to their party.
He stressed that stories of woes and tears have always been the portions of defectors to APC which cannot be changed by anybody in the Nigeria political clime.
The PDP said that people like Segun Oni , Femi Bamisile and others who thought that they will be considered for governorship tickets in the party will eventually be disappointed at the end of the day, saying that the original members of APC were such a people who would not welcome ambition of new members nor matter how valuable and important.
According to the party, “there is a traditional phenomenon in APC that disregard people they considered as intruders which could be likened to these defectors.”
PDP however described those who recently left the party as “liabilities too many in the party,” adding that the party was only being conscious of mass expulsion of these fellows before their exit.
