By Mohammed Yangida, Lafia Youths from the Central Zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converged on Lafia over the weekend and passed a vote of confidence in the leadership drive of President Muhamadu Buhari.
The National Youth Leader of the zone comrade Terver Aginde, told journalist that the meeting was aimed at fine-tuning the existing relationship of the APC youths from the zone with the party’s leadership in order to collaborate with the government at the National and the State Levels.
Terver also stated that the collaboration is to develop a programme of empowerment for youths in the North Central Zone as was earlier spelt out in the APC manifestos before and after President Buhari was elected president.
He expressed satisfaction with the leadership of President Buhari-led APC government, saying synergizing with the government becomes imperative as it will go along way to transmitting government drive to the grass root.
The APC National Youths Leader North Central noted that agriculture has not been fully harnessed and that the youths are ready to return to the agricultural sector if fully supported
He therefore assured Nigerian youths that President Buhari and members of his cabinet are responsible representative hence the need to support them as they target to revamp the economy.
Terver appealled to state Governors to come to a reasoning table with the youths from their various states so as to be braced with the challenges pressing the youths, while he beckon the youths to be tolerant and patient with the present administration.
The youth leaders of Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Plateau and the FCT were all in attendance at the meeting except.
