From Harry Awurumibe in Awka, Anambra
Over two hours after polls opened in the 2021 Anambra Governorship Election, reports from all parts of the state indicate that not a single disturbance has been recorded.
Also, there are visible signs of enthusiasm on the part of voters who are turning out in numbers to cast their votes at the 5, 720 Polling Units across the state.
At several Polling Units monitored this morning in Awka, the capital of Anambra state, voters were seen coming to cast their votes as the numbers continue to increase as the excercise progresses.
However, the security agencies posted at the Polling Units across the state so far have nothing to do as the process has continued unhindered contrary to pre-election postulation of nay-sayers.
From Awka to Uga, the border town between Anambra and Imo states; Ihiala to Onitsha and from Igbariam near Kogi state to Ayamelum, calm is the order of the day so far.
