The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra has commenced the training of the 2019 recruited and documented personnel in the state.
The state Commandant of the corps, Mr Evaristus Obiyo, who supervised the exercise at the command’s headquarters in Awka, urged the personnel to be of good behaviour during the training.
Obiyo said they were expected to display high level of discipline during and after the exercise.
“You are expected to display self discipline and dedication during your training and after.
“Obey all training rules and regulations and develop your mental capacity for efficient response to security issues,” he said.
The state NSCDC chief said that the command had proficient personnel, adding that the new operatives “must fall in line to keep the record”.
Earlier, the Head of Training Department, DCC Kizito Emaikwu, admonished the trainees to pay serious attention to the training in order to succeed in their chosen career to serve the nation.
He said the training was expected to last for three months and that the trainees would receive instructions in different areas, including induction, etiquette, ethics, rudiments of drill and parade pathology, amongst others.
“Upon completion of the initial three months training, the trainees will be selected in batches for Basic Training Course at the designated NSCDC training colleges and schools,” Emaikwu further said. (NAN)
