The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party has suspended Andy Uba, a member of the Senate and four other members of the party from Anambra State.
According to a letter signed by the Acting National Secretary, Remi Akintoye and addressed to them individually, their suspension was anchored on failure to honour party’s invitation over the parallel congress orgnaised in Awka on Saturday.
Also suspended are Chris Uba, a factional chairman of the PDP in Anambra, Ejike Oguebego, Benji Udeozor, and Tonia Nwankwu.
At the parallel congress conducted by Oguebego-led faction of the party, Andu Uba, a Senator picked the governorship ticket to fly PDP’s flag in the November 16 election.
Interestingly, the national leadership recognized Tony Nwoye, as the party’s candidate for the election.
