Former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amuneke has applied for the Super Eagles coaching job.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday announced the position of the Super Eagles head coach vacant and asked for qualified candidates to apply with a deadline of Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
Amuneke has now expressed his interest by applying for the top job.
Experienced journalist Osasu Obayiwana confirmed on X that Amuneke informed him he has applied to be the next Super Eagles coach.
“Yes I did [apply to be the next manager],” Amuneke told the former BBC journalist.

The 53-year-old once managed the Nigeria U-17 side and Tanzania national team.
The former Barcelona winger has also worked in Sudan and Egypt as a coach.
