An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, on Tuesday, remanded a 38-year-old man, Lami Yakubu, and six others, for allegedly killing two men with a gun.
The defendants, whose addresses were not provided, are charged with conspiracy to murder, murder, and attempted murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, did not take their pleas for want of jurisdiction.
She directed the police to return the case file to the Oyo State Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
She directed that the defendants should be kept at a custodial facility pending the advice.
The magistrate adjourned the case until June 28 for mention.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan. 24 and May 7, at 5.00 p.m. at Ariku-Oko, Ibadan.

Oladoyin alleged that the defendants unlawfully caused the death of Mr Semiu Olaosebikan and Mr Ibrahim Adebayo, by shooting them with a gun.
Oladoyin alleged that the defendants also unlawfully attempted to cause the death of Mr Soliu Jimoh by shooting him with a gun.
She said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 320 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
