Super Falcons caretaker coach, Justine Madugu has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the friendlies against Algeria.
Prompt News reports that Nigeria won both friendlies 2-0 and 4-1 respectively.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade scored a brace for the West Africans in the first friendly.
Edo Queens forward Folashade Ijamilusi (hat-trick) and Monday Gift were on target in the second friendly.
The squad was dominated by local-based players.
Madugu said the team’s impressive display is a testament to how formidable the Super Falcons will become in future.
“I commend the girls for their performance even though we only had very few training sessions together,” Madugu said after the game on Tuesday.
“It gives us hope and belief that going forward we will have a more formidable Super Falcons.”
