Chuba Akpom is delighted to join Eredivisie giants, Ajax Amsterdam.
The Nigerian-born forward moved to the former European champions in a deal worth €14.3m on Wednesday.
Akpom linked up with Ajax from Sky Bet Championship club, Middlesbrough, PROMPT NEWS reports.
“It was a quick deal. Several clubs were interested, but when Ajax came I immediately knew that I wanted to go to Amsterdam,” he told the club’s official website.
“Of course I am very happy to sign with Ajax. It is a large, special club with a great history. It was therefore not a difficult decision.”
The 27-year-old was top scorer in the Championship last season with 28 goals. READ ALSO:
