The Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President on Stakeholders’ Engagement and Mobilization Femi Odere on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, on behalf of his principal, paid a condolence visit to the Ondo State Governor His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the Governor Office, Alagbaka, Akure.
Odere said although the death of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the late governor of the state was acutely shocking, having shown significant evidence of recovery at some point, but the good people of Ondo State should take solace in the fact that the late governor left behind an unprecedented legacy.
“Your Excellency, the Senate President His Excellency Godswill Akpabio hopes that this legacy will be sustained now that you are the father of the state. It is equally important to play this fatherly role by bringing together the different tendencies within the party in the state so that Ondo State can remain in the APC column in the next governorship election, Odere said.
“A political house that’s divided against itself cannot win a state-wide election,” the aide to the Senate President said matter-of-factly. READ ALSO:
