Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari arrived in the United States on Thursday as Special Guest at the 25th Anniversary of Zumunta Association, holding at the Silver Spring civic centre in Maryland, Washington DC.
According to her Media Aide, Zakari Yau Nadabo, the event with the theme, “Rebirth and Renewable “is also expected to have the attendance of the Emir of Kano as Guest speaker among other prominent Nigerians.
Mrs Buhari Will also be hosted to a round table discussion by the united states institute of peace to explore an in-depth conversation with a group of senior United states policy makers and an invested group of practitioners focused on Nigeria.
The institute is a congressionally funded, independent national institute dedicated to the proposition that peace is possible, practical and essential for United States and international security.
Mrs. Buhari who was accompanied by some wives of Governors will also hold meetings at the George Mason University Washington during her period of stay in the United States.
Prompt News Online recalls that Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose had accused Mrs. Aisha Buhari of being involved in the Halliburton scandal.
Mr. Fayose has also challenged Mrs Buhari severally to visit the U.S, saying she would be arrested.
