Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu has secured a move to Japanese club, Shonan Bellmare, Promptnewsonline.com reports.
Agu joined Spanish Segunda Division outfit, CF Fuenlabrada in January but failed to make a single appearance for the club.
The 29-year-old is looking to get his career back on track after failing to live up early promises during his time as a youngster.
The talented midfielder moved to Portuguese giants FC Porto in 2012 and after a couple of impressive displays graduated to the first team.
Agu spent time on loan at Belgian side, Club Brugge, Vitoria Setubal of Portugal and Turkey’s Bursaspor.
The Nigerian was finally sold to another Portuguese club, Vitoria Guimaraes in 2019.
He has been capped seven times by Nigeria.
Shonan Bellmare finished in 16th position in the J1 last season.
