Lionel Messi has set a new Guinness World Record in his second appearance for Inter Miami
The 2022 World Cup champion was utterly outstanding in a blowout win over Atlanta United, combining with Robert Taylor in a statement Inter Miami triumph.
According to Goal, Messi scored two of Inter Miami’s goals in the 4-0 Leagues Cup win against Atlanta United, netting twice within the first 22 minutes of the match.
His second goal in the game is reported to have set a new Guinness World Record after it became the most-watched live event in the history of the United States.
The video has reportedly garnered over 3.4 billion views, another milestone set by the 36-year-old superstar following his move to the MLS this summer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi has now scored three goals in his first two appearances for the David Beckham co-owned team since completing his move to the Floridians.
