By: Gracious Akujobi : Nigeria faced Central African Republic (CAR) for a place in the quater final as D’ Tigers continue their quest for a first ever title victory.
It was a tightly contested first quarter and the Central African Republic (CAR) surprised the Nigerians outscoring them 27-24.However, Nigeria hit back scoring 34 points to CAR’s 12 as they led 58 -39 at half time.
With the wealth of International experience in their side Nigeria continued the unslaught to the third quater getting 26 points with CAR putting 15 on the board.
Stan Okoye ended the match with 29 points in the bag as Nigeria progress to the quarter-finals to play Senegal with 112-75 victory.
