Holders Falconets of Nigeria zoomed into the final of the women’s football event at the African Games 2023 courtesy of a 2-0 win against Uganda at the Cape Coast Stadium on Monday night.
Substitute Okey Adaobi broke the deadlock with her first touch of the game 16 minutes from time.
Another substitute Chiamaka Okwuchukwu sealed the victory with the second goal in the 89th minute.

The Falconets will face the winner of the second semi-final between hosts Ghana and Senegal in the final.
Uganda on the other hand will fight for bronze medal.
