Super Eagles and Al Nassr FC forward Ahmed Musa is the first player to hit the senior men’s national team camp in Benin, Edo State capital ahead of Nations Cup double header qualification against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
Also expected to hit the Eagles camp today are: Troost Ekong, Daniel Akpeyi, Moses Simon, Abdullahi Shehu, and Leon Balogun.
Prompt News Online, gathered exclusively that full training will commence on Tuesday as the head coach Gernot Rohr has given Wednesday as deadline for the invited players to report to camp.
The team officials and backroom staff arrived Benin at the weekend to prepare grounds for the players.
Officials of the Super Eagles will be accommodated at Eterno Hotel, while the match officials and the delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will be accommodated at the Edo Heritage Hotel.
The Leone Stars and officials who will be lodged at the Lush Hotel in Benin City, are expected to fly into Lagos on Wednesday from where they will connect another flight to Benin same day.
The Nation’s cup qualifier is slated for Friday November, 13th at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin – City, Edo State.
