Super Eagles interim manager Austin Eguavoen has expressed confidence that the current squad in Cameroon for the African Cup of Nations will do well at the championship which will officially kick off on Sunday.
The NFF Technical Director who doubles as Eagles head coach in a telephone chat with Promptnewsonline.com in Cameroon said the team is in high spirit and no injury which is a booster and confidence that the boys are fully ready.
Though, the team will miss one or two players like Osimhen and Ighalo which would’ve been added advantage in fortifying the team but that doesn’t mean the team will not do well at the AFCON.
“I am highly confident and couple with our preparations and physically and moral support from the federation and Nigerians, the boys will not disappoint.
“Our focus now is the group stage and we will approach each game the way it comes. I can’t make prediction because this is football, in championship like AFCON, luck also count”, Eguavoen said.
He also commended the Nigeria Football Federation for their motivation, support and encouragement so far for team.
