Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has arrived the team’s camp in Asaba Delta State ahead of their preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament billed for Egypt.
The former Middlesbrough midfielder who has been on a self imposed exile for 11 months from the Super Eagles squad was among the early arrivals in camp alongside Leon Balogun, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi.
Other players who also breezed into camp Sunday afternoon include Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem and Jamilu Collins.
Other players are expected to arrive later on Sunday while the likes of John Ogu, Ahmed Musa, Abdulahi Shehu, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi Oghenekaro Etebo are billed to arrive on Monday.
Nigeria will face Zimbabwe at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on June 8 before departing Nigeria the next day for Ismaila, Egypt for their final camp ahead of the tournament.
Their last preparatory game will be against Senegal, billed for the Ismailia Stadium on June 16.
The AFCON is billed to take place in Egypt from the 21st of June to the 20th of July this year.
Nigeria will face Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea in Group B of the competition.
