Nigeria laboured to a 1-0 victory over Libya in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Uyo on Friday.
The Super Eagles dominated the game but were frustrated by impressive display by Libya goalkeeper Murad Al Wuheeshi.
Al Wuheeshi denied Alex Iwobi twice in the first half.
Ademola Lookman, William Troost-Ekong and Victor Boniface all came close to breaking the deadlock for Nigeria.
The Super Eagles broke the deadlock five minutes from time.
Substitute Fisayo Dele-Bashiru slotted from inside the box after he was teed up by Moses Simon.
The Super Eagles maintained top spot in Group D with seven points from three games.
They will face Libya again in Benina next week Tuesday.
