Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen will lead the backroom staff of the team to Abidjan on Sunday (today) for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
Eguavoen travelled to Belgium this week for a short medical leave.
The former defender is now back in the country to take up the latest assignment.
Nasarawa United defender Victor Collins, who is the only local-based player in the 23-man squad will be part of the travelling contingent.
All the foreign-based players will fly directly to Abidjan for the game.
The Cheetahs will entertain Nigeria at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.
The Super Eagles will need at least a draw from the game to qualify for the AFCON 2025 finals which will be hosted by Morocco.
The encounter will kick off at 8pm Nigeria time.
