Benin Republic could be without star midfielder Matteo Ahlinvi for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Nigeria and Libya.
Ahlinvi limped off the pitch in Vasteras’ Swedish League clash against Hammarby at the weekend.
The 25-year-old lasted 34 minutes on the pitch before sustaining the injury.
The former France youth international is now doubtful for the crucial clash with the Super Eagles and Mediterranean Knights.
The playmaker has made 22 appearances for the Cheetahs.
Benin Republic will host the Super Eagles at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.
Gernot Rohr’s side will be away to the Mediterranean Knights of Libya next week Monday.
