Libya have appointed a new head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri, ahead of next month’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Al-Hadiri was assistant to Spanish coach Javier Clemente, who was in charge of Libya in 2014.
Prompt News reports that he is coming in as a replacement for Serbian tactician Milutin Sredojevic.
Sredojevic was relieved of his duties following the Mediterranean Knights poor start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
The North Africans are bottom of Group D with one point from two games.
They will take on the Super Eagles in Uyo on October 11, before they welcome the three-time African champions in Benina, near Benghazy, four days later.
