Super Eagles head coach,Jose Peseiro will have headache over injuries to some of his key stars as his side begin preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday (today).
Leicester City duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are major doubt for the competition due to injury.
Iheanacho is currently battling with a muscle injury, while the nature of Ndidi’s injury is unknown at the moment.
Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca offered worrying updates on the two players after his side’s 4-1 victory against Huddersfield Town on Monday.
“Kele and Wilf are both injured, but they are now going to be with the international team,”Maresca was quoted by Leicester Mercury. READ ALSO:

The potential loss of Ndidi and Iheanacho would represent a massive bblow for the Eagles, with both players expected to play key roles in Nigeria’s bid to win a fourth AFCON title.
