Former Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh is concerned with Victor Boniface’s fitness ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Boniface is a major for the tournament after sustaining a muscle injury in training.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker has already missed Nigeria’s pre-AFCON friendlies against Al Gharib and Guinea.
“I have watched Boniface closely all season, and he is simply an extraordinary player! Him missing AFCON will be a bad blow for Us. We need to have him fit at all cost as he is in my opinion, Definitely one of Naija’s best hopes!!, Oliseh wrote on his X account.
The 23-year-old is looking to make his first appearance for Nigeria in a major tournament. READ ALSO:

The forward only made his Super Eagles debut in September against Sao Tome and Principe.
He has made five appearances for the Super Eagles.
