Alex Iwobi is upbeat on the chances of the Super Eagles putting up a good showing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Jose Peseiro’s side are currently preparing for the competition in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The three-time African champions walloped local side, Al Gharib 12-0 in a test game on Sunday.
The West Africans will take on Guinea in another friendly on Monday (today).
“The fans know the quality we have in the team, from each man that is in the squad and the ones that didn’t make the squad, there is a lot of talents in the squad,” the Fulham star told the Super Eagles media.
“We have confidence we can go far in this competition, but we have to prove it and assure the fans that we can prove ourselves. They can be sure we will make the nation proud.”

“Preparation has been good, we are in Abu Dhabi right now.We have got some friendlies to warm up before the AFCON,”added the former Arsenal player.
“Everyone is almost complete here, the squad is almost complete and we are also training well.”
