Victor Osimhen has said he is not under pressure to shine for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Osimhen has not been at his best in the competition fluffing several scoring chances.
The Napoli hitman has scored once in two games in Cote d’Ivoire.
Many have attributed that to the pressure of his status as current Africa’s best player.
The striker has however debunked the claim stating that he is more focused on helping the Super Eagles achieve success in Cote d’Ivoire.
“I am not under pressure,” Osimhen told reporters in Abidjan.
“I have won the title (African Player of the Year), but it’s now in the past.
“What is most important for me now is to do well with the team, make sure the team do well and win the AFCON. READ ALSO:
