Super Falcons’ Ramada Addis Hotel camp is now bubbling with life as Nigeria’s armada of foreign-based stars led by reigning African Best Women’s Footballer Asisat
Lamina Oshoala and 11 other players joined the team ahead of Wednesday’s first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympics African qualifiers double-header against Ethiopia at Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.
The new arrivals who hit camp before breakfast on Tuesday outside Oshoala are Nnadozie Chiamaka Cynthia, Demehin Oluwatosin Blessing, Imuran Rofiat Adenike, Babajide Omorinsola Omowunmi and
Monday Gift Nyakno.
Others are Efih Peace Ewomazino, Kanu Uchenna Grace, Ajibade Rasheedat Busayo, Payne Antionette Oyedupe and Alozie Michelle Chinwendu.
Earlier, eight players including six who departed from Nigeria on Sunday were in camp. They are Oluehi Tochukwu Ogbonna Akudo Esther, Onyenezide Esther Chinemerem, Alani Jumoke Victoria, Oyono Monle Omini, Folorunsho Comfort, Ajakaye Opeyemi Esther and Payne Nicole Oyeyemisi.
They had their first training session at the Abebe Bikila Stadium ahead of Wednesday’s Olympic qualifiers clash with Ethiopia on Monday while the team is having its full training as at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, according to the team’s itinerary sighted by Prompt News, only United States-based top striker, Ifeoma Chukwufumnaya Onumonu who is scheduled to touchdown in Addis Ababa from USA by 21:40 pm local time on Tuesday is been expected in camp just as the quartet of Osinachi Ohale, Christy Ucheibe, Halinatu Ayinde and Regina Otu earlier listed have been replaced.
