Nollywood actress and movie director, Omoni Oboli, is set to release a new movie titled ‘The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3’.
According to a post shared on Instagram by Oboli on Sunday, part three of the popular Nollywood series is set to be released on cinema screens soon.
The “Wives on Strike” movie series, a blend of comedy and drama, first captured audiences’ hearts in 2016, followed by a successful sequel, “Wives on Strike: The Revolution,” in 2018.
The narrative follows four women who deny their husbands sex as a form of protest against domestic violence, sparking both humour and critical conversation around important social issues.

It’s been a while since fans have had the opportunity to catch sight of the wives on strike in action.
“It’s the best one we have done so far! The uprising will bring back the charm, humour and a more interesting plot.”

In a twist hinted at in the announcement video, ‘The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3’ brings a new dimension to the story, adding fresh excitement and intrigue for fans of the movie.
The film features a talented cast, including Omoni Oboli, Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jumbo, and Ufuoma McDermott.
While some of the known faces in the previous titles are not featured in the new title, It is confirmed that there are some exciting additions to the cast which includes veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori (Kie Kie), and others.
A date for the premiere is yet to be disclosed, but special screenings and events are planned to celebrate the film’s release, with details to follow soon.
