Tammy Abraham has reacted to AS Roma 2-2 against AC Milan at the Guiseppe Meaza Stadium.
The Giallorossi were 2-0 down in the 86th minute of the match, but late strikes from Roger Ibanez and Abraham ensured they earn a share of the spoils.
“We know it’s a difficult place to come, we knew we had to be patient – because they defend well and they attack well,” Abraham told the club’s official website.
“So the [number of] chances are very small. I don’t know what it was, but I told myself when we had the [free-kick] that this was our chance to score. And I told myself to be ready.
“The ball came in, the goalkeeper saved the header, the ball came to me … thank God I was there in the right place!”
Abraham was asked if the late comeback was a sign of the team’s character.
“Of course,” he said. “We are building more and more. I said before the break that we would come back stronger and we have done that with a win and a draw. A good performance today.
“We need to carry on like this, we are going in the right way.”
